The Conscript Band travels in time - back to the 80’s
After the success of last year’s 90’s concert, The Conscript Band of the Finnish Defence Forces is once more reaching over genre boundaries in the form of an 80’s-tour called Kasari!
A grand entertainment orchestra of their age group’s best musicians will be performing an all-around serving of 80’s best hits in the finest concert halls in Finland.
Known for its energetic and unique show, the Conscript Band entertains their audiences with a symphonic orchestra supported by a string orchestra and an electric band, amassing over 70 musicians on the same stage.
It’s not only the legendary 80’s hits and their superb orchestra arrangements that are special; the modern technical venues and the performance itself is something never seen before.
On the tour, conducting the orchestra are Music Captain Tero Haikala and First Lieutenant Tommi Suutarinen.

The Conscript Band of the Finnish Defence Forces is one of the representative bands of the Defence Forces. It is formed each year from about 100 of the most skilled musicians in the age group entering military service. This year the Conscript Band represents both Finland and the Finnish Defence Forces by touring around the nation as well as abroad, performing at the XXIII International Festival of Military Bands event in Czech Republic.
