Local defence exercise visible in South Karelia in early March
The local defence exercise ”Karelian Stone 26” will be held in areas of Lappeenranta, Taipalsaari, Savitaipale, and Imatra during 2–6 March 2026.
Local defence exercises to develop joint readiness
The Army will exercise local defence during 20.2.–6.3.2026. The series of exercises will be participated by altogether up to c. 3,500 soldiers, a number of other authorities, as well as business sector organisations from across Finland.
Military oath and affirmation ceremonies in the Jaeger Brigade
The military oath and affirmation ceremonies of contingent 1/26 will take place in Sodankylä and Rovaniemi garrisons on Saturday, 14 February 2026.

Commander of Allied Rapid Reaction Corps on a visit to Finland
Commander of NATO’s Allied Rapid Reaction Corps (ARRC) Lieutenant General Ralph Wooddisse visited Finland on 2.2.2026. The visit was hosted by Commander of the Finnish Army, Lieutenant General Pasi Välimäki.
