7.4.2022 | The Guard Jaeger Regiment’s 1. and 2. Jaeger Company, Headquarters and Signal Company as well as 2. Military Police Company will undertake training in the capital area region from 9 to 15 April 2022. The exercise areas will include Helsinki, Espoo, Vantaa, Tuusula, and the area in the vicinity of the Helsinki-Vantaa Airport.

11.11.2022 | Guard Jaeger Regiment is exercising with other authorities in capital area and Uusimaa region on 14.-18.11.2022. The exercise is part of the Guard Jaeger Regiment's yearly training plan.

19.5.2022 | From 27 May to 2 June 2022, the field training exercise Sapeli 1/22 led by the Guard Jaeger Regiment will be held in the capital region and in the area of Western Uusimaa. The FTX drill areas will include Helsinki, Espoo, Upinniemi, Vantaa and Hämeenlinna. The exercise will be commanded by Commander of the Jaeger Regiment, Colonel Asko Kopra.

22.2.2023 | The Guard Jaeger Regiment -led local defence exercise Kehä 23 will be held in the reion of Uusimaa during 2. – 10.3.2023.

24.8.2023 | Local defence will be exercised throughout the country during 1.–8. September. Across Finland, the exercises will develop collective security, inter-agency co-operation, and the ability to prepare for disturbance situations. Joint drilling will include, for instance, situations relating to rescue activity and civil protection.

21.11.2022 | Almost 1600 persons comprising conscripts, reservists and Defence Forces service personnel will participate in this military exercise stretching from Helsinki to Hanko in late Novermber- early December conducted alongside the Navy exercise Freezing Winds.

21.2.2023 | The Army will exercise local defence across Finland during 24.2.–10.3.2023. The exercises will develop the local forces’ competence as well as inter-agency cooperation in all of Finland. In conjunction with the exercises, up to c. 2,800 reservists will undertake refresher training.

22.2.2022 | Local defence exercise Kehä 1/22 led by the Guard Jaeger Regiment will be organized in the area of Uusimaa from 6 to 11 March 2022. The strength of the training units will be around 740 consisting of conscripts, reservists and regular personnel. The exercise will be directed by the Deputy Commander of the Guard Jaeger Regiment, Colonel Vesa Laitonen.

22.2.2021 | Over the coming weeks 9 and 10, the Finnish Defence Forces and different authorities will train local defence tasks across Finland. The local defence exercises contribute to improved inter-executive cooperation in disturbance situations, and to local defence readiness in responding to rapid changes in the security situation.

16.11.2017 | The Defence Forces’ main exercise Uusimaa will be held in southern Finland from 27 November to 4 December 2017. The objective is to train defending the capital city area and coast in a rapidly escalating situation together with the other authorities.
