  1. 12.5.2026 | The NATO defence alliance's joint operational doctrine working meeting will be held for the first time in Helsinki from 12 to 14 May 2026. The purpose is to enhance interoperability among NATO member countries by standardising common doctrines and the associated terminology. All 32 NATO member countries, parts of NATO's command organisation, and representatives from NATO's Centres of Excellence have been invited to the event.

  4. 12.5.2026 | Försvarsalliansen Natos gemensamma operativa doktrinverkstad arrangeras för första gången i Helsingfors den 12–14 maj 2026. Målet är att förbättra interoperabiliteten mellan Natos medlemsländer genom att standardisera gemensamma doktriner samt den tillhörande terminologin.   16. 31.1.2025 | The Commander of NATO’s Allied Rapid Reaction Corps (ARRC), Lieutenant General Ralph Wooddisse, visited Finland on 30 January 2025. The visit was hosted by the Commander of the Finnish Army, Lieutenant General Pasi Välimäki. The ARRC is based in the UK and provides the framework for one of NATO’s Strategic Reserve Corps.

  17. 15.10.2024 | Exercise Lightning Strike 24 to be led by the Army Academy will be organized in the Rovajärvi and Rovaniemi area from 4 to 28 November 2024. The exercise is a part of the United States-led exercise series Dynamic Front 25 conducted in the territories of five countries, being the largest NATO artillery exercise series ever conducted in Europe.

  18. 22.2.2024 | Försvarsmakten deltar i övningen Nordic Response 24 som leds av Norge. Övningen kommer att hållas i norra delarna av Finland, Norge och Sverige 4–15 Mars 2024. Nordic Response 24 är Arméns och samtidigt Försvarsmaktens mest omfattande engagemang i en internationell övning utomlands i historien. Arméns övningsstyrka är cirka 2500 personer, varav 350 är personal, 1060 är beväringar och 1120 reservister.

  20. 17.4.2026 | The Armoured Brigade will lead the Army mechanised exercise Mighty Arrow 26 at the Pohjankangas Firing Range and Training Area in Niinisalo from 24 April to 9 May. Approximately 2800 persons will participate in the exercise, most of them conscripts and about 350 international troops. Almost 500 vehicles will be used in the exercise, including approximately 160 tanks and armoured vehicles.
