Arrow 24
The Armoured Brigade will lead the Army mechanized exercise Arrow 24 at the Pohjankangas shooting and training area in Niinisalo from 26 April to 14 May 2024. Of the total strength of ca. 2600 persons taking part in the exercise, majority are conscripts and about 300 international troops.
Units from Armoured Brigade, Karelia Brigade, Utti Jaeger Regiment, Jaeger Brigade, Pori Brigade, Army Academy, the Defence Forces C5 Agency and the 2nd Logistics Regiment will participate in the exercise. The exercise will also include Army flight operations. Approximately 2250 persons from the Army will participate in the exercise, including over 1850 conscripts. Some 500 Defence Forces vehicles will be involved in the exercise.
Units from the United Kingdom, Latvia and Estonia will participate in the exercise. In total, the strength of the international troops will be about 300 persons and ca. 85 vehicles. The equipment of the international troops will include, among others, AH-64E Apache combat helicopters (United Kingdom), Scimitar infantry fighting vehicles (Latvia) and CV9035 infantry fighting vehicles (Estonia).
