Training as a main duty

The Kainuu Brigade trains Jaegers, Rangers, Gunners, Engineers, Signalmen, Drivers and Maintenance Personnel to form units that are familiar with the special conditions of Northern Finland. The mission of the Kainuu Brigade is also to maintain and develop the defence readiness in our region in Northern Ostrobothnia, Kainuu, Northern Savonia and North Karelia.

Organisation

The organisation consists of Headquarters, five battalion-level units and three Regional Offices.
