Utti Jaeger Regiment (UTJR)
The Utti Jaeger Regiment is home to the Army Special Forces Unit and the helicopter operations of the Finnish Defence Forces, along with branches that support these areas.
Alongside training conscripts, the regiment’s focus is on maintaining the professional capability of the hired personnel, which is also reflected in the unit’s composition – the regiment has more hired personnel than conscripts.
As an Army Special Forces Unit, we are among the elite operatives within the Finnish national defence. We are highly capable of providing executive assistance to other authorities, and we participate in military crisis management tasks on an international scale, where necessary.
