C-17 transport aircraft visit Utti Jaeger Regiment
A Boeing C-17 Globemaster III military transport aircraft will visit Utti Jaeger Regiment on August 31, 2022.
C-17 participates in the development of international interoperability regarding air movement methods for Utti Jaeger Regiment. Air movement methods include, for example, parachute drops for personnel and materials. Flight operations are directed to areas near the Utti Jaeger Regiment.
The visit of the C-17 military transport aircraft is part of the Finnish Defence Forces' strategic air transport cooperation. Finland participates in the twelve-country SAC (Strategic Airlift Capability) project. The two countries have three C-17 transport aircraft at their disposal, operated by the Heavy Airlift Wing, a multinational heavy air force wing based in Pápa, Hungary.
