17.4.2026 | The Armoured Brigade will lead the Army mechanised exercise Mighty Arrow 26 at the Pohjankangas Firing Range and Training Area in Niinisalo from 24 April to 9 May. Approximately 2800 persons will participate in the exercise, most of them conscripts and about 350 international troops. Almost 500 vehicles will be used in the exercise, including approximately 160 tanks and armoured vehicles.

2.5.2025 | Conscripts from the Utti Jaeger Regiment Parachute Jaeger Company will participate in an exercise led by the Estonian Defence Forces from 4 to 17 May 2025.

16.4.2026 | All brigade-level units of the Army will rehearse joint operating with allied countries’ contingents in the course of May. Several exercises executed simultaneously are aimed at strengthening the Army’s defence capability across Finland, conscripts’ know-how and joint operating with Allies. During the spring, a total of approximately 19,000 allied soldiers from Finland, Estonia, Lithuania, Norway, France, United Kingdom, United States, Italy, Hungary and Poland will take part in the exercises.

20.9.2024 | The Utti Jaeger Regiment will exercise over the weeks ahead in Southern and Northern Finland. International training exercise activity for the autumn of 2024 will continue in Estonia.

9.4.2025 | The training exercise entity of the Army will start at the end of April to continue until early June in all of Finland. The exercises will strengthen the alliance’s ability for joint operating, build-up of combat power, and its concentration across Finland.

10.4.2025 | The Armoured Brigade will lead the Army mechanized exercise Mighty Arrow 25 at the Pohjankangas Firing Range and Training Area in Niinisalo from 24 April to 13 May. Approximately 2800 persons will take part in the exercise, most of them conscripts and about 700 international troops.

7.3.2025 | The Commanding General of the Estonian Division, Major General Indrek Sirel, visited the Finnish Army Headquarters on March 5–6, 2025. The visit was hosted by the Commander of the Finnish Army, Lieutenant General Pasi Välimäki.

19.4.2023 | The Armoured Brigade will lead the Army mechanized exercise Arrow 23 at the Pohjankangas shooting and training area in Niinisalo from 1 to 14 May 2023. Of the total strength of ca. 2200 persons taking part in the exercise, more than one thousand are conscripts and about 850 international troops.

19.4.2023 | The Army will exercise across Finland and abroad during May-June. The objective of the exercises involves further developing Army interoperability and interoperable operating with forces of the alliance and with Sweden.

16.4.2024 | The Armoured Brigade will lead the Army mechanized exercise Arrow 24 at the Pohjankangas Firing Range and Training Area in Niinisalo from 26 April to 14 May. Approximately 2600 persons will take part in the exercise, most of them conscripts and about 300 international troops.

16.4.2024 | Army training and exercise activity will be conducted across Finland between the end of April and the beginning of June. The Army will be training in extensive force entities and developing the capacity for bilateral and multilateral joint operations with the Allies.

11.12.2023 | Skills required in winter circumstances will be trained again at the Jaeger Brigade on the Winter Combat Course from 6 to 19 January 2024. In addition to Finnish soldiers, 17 foreign soldiers from the USA, Estonia, France, Belgium and Great Britain will take part on the course.
