28.2.2022 | The Finnish Army will participate in the US European Command’s international Saber Strike 2022 exercise in Tapa, Estonia from 11 to 17 March 2022. The theme of the training exercise, organized in Estonia, led by the Estonian Air Force is to develop ground-based air defence interoperability.

5.5.2022 | The Army will participate in the exercise drill Siil / Hedgehog 22 in Estonia on 18–28 May 2022. Consisting of reservists, conscripts, and service personnel, the Finnish training audience detachment to the exercise will be altogether 240 personnel in its total strength. The detachment will be led by the Pori Brigade.

16.6.2026 | Throughout the year, FINSOF and ESTSOF conscripts have trained in each other’s operational environments, gaining valuable experience and expertise while strengthening interoperability between the units.

17.4.2026 | The Armoured Brigade will lead the Army mechanised exercise Mighty Arrow 26 at the Pohjankangas Firing Range and Training Area in Niinisalo from 24 April to 9 May. Approximately 2800 persons will participate in the exercise, most of them conscripts and about 350 international troops. Almost 500 vehicles will be used in the exercise, including approximately 160 tanks and armoured vehicles.

18.4.2018 | Finland will participate in the training exercise SIIL18 organised in Estonia from 3 to 14 May 2018. This exercise is the main annual training exercise of the Estonian Defence Forces. Participation in the exercise is included in the annual plan of the Finnish Defence Forces’ international activities concerning Army training.

16.4.2026 | All brigade-level units of the Army will rehearse joint operating with allied countries’ contingents in the course of May. Several exercises executed simultaneously are aimed at strengthening the Army’s defence capability across Finland, conscripts’ know-how and joint operating with Allies. During the spring, a total of approximately 19,000 allied soldiers from Finland, Estonia, Lithuania, Norway, France, United Kingdom, United States, Italy, Hungary and Poland will take part in the exercises.

22.5.2017 | Finnish Army will participate in international Saber Strike 17 exercise led by the USA from 3 - 16 June 2017 in Estonia.

16.4.2019 | The Finnish Army will participate in the exercise Kevadtorm / Spring Storm 19 organised in Estonia from 29 April to 12 May 2019. Comprising conscripts and service personnel, the total strength of the Finnish exercise detachment will be altogether 41 troops led by the Pori Brigade.

17.5.2018 | The Finnish Army will take part in the international training exercise Saber Strike 18 that is led by the US European Command and will be organised in Tapa, Estonia, from 7 to 15 June 2018.

9.4.2025 | The training exercise entity of the Army will start at the end of April to continue until early June in all of Finland. The exercises will strengthen the alliance’s ability for joint operating, build-up of combat power, and its concentration across Finland.
