Skills required in winter circumstances will be trained again at the Jaeger Brigade on the Winter Combat Course from 4 to 17 January 2025. In addition to Finnish soldiers, 12 foreign soldiers from the USA, Canada, France and Great Britain will take part on the course.

The national parade on the Independence Day 6 December 2024 will affect traffic and parking in Lappeenranta. During the parade events, the public is kindly asked to move on foot downtown, in the area of Kimpinen, on Ainonkatu, and at the harbour.
