The training exercise entity of the Army will start at the end of April to continue until early June in all of Finland. The exercises will strengthen the alliance’s ability for joint operating, build-up of combat power, and its concentration across Finland.

The Armoured Brigade will lead the Army mechanized exercise Mighty Arrow 25 at the Pohjankangas Firing Range and Training Area in Niinisalo from 24 April to 13 May. Approximately 2800 persons will take part in the exercise, most of them conscripts and about 700 international troops.

The Commander of the Finnish Army, Lieutenant General Pasi Välimäki, visited France this week. The visit was hosted by the Commander of the French Army, General Pierre Schill. The commanders discussed various topics, including the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) peacekeeping operation, the ongoing situation in Ukraine, and FLF in Finland.

The Commander of the Finnish Army, Lieutenant General Pasi Välimäki, visited Ukraine last week. During the visit, he met with the leadership of the Ukrainian Land Forces and learned about their training programs, facilities, and the command and control structures at various levels.
