18.8.2025 | The Karelia Brigade will lead the Karelian Stronghold 25 local defense exercise in the Kymenlaakso region in the areas of Kotka, Hamina, and Kouvola during 1.-5. September 2025.

5.11.2025 | Lively Sentry 25, led by the Guard Jaeger Regiment, will be organised from 27 November to 4 December 2025. The exercise will be conducted in the areas of East Uusimaa, Kymenlaakso and Päijät-Häme.

8.5.2026 | The Karelian Brigade will lead the Karelian Sword 26 exercise in the regions of Kymenlaakso, South Savo and South Karelia from 22 to 29 May 2026.

22.5.2025 | The Guard Jaeger Regiment will lead Exercise Lively Sabre 25 in East Uusimaa and Kymeenlaakso from 21 - 31 May 2025.

30.10.2025 | In early winter, Army training exercises will have thousands of conscripts, who are about to muster into the reserve in December, train together with reservists and allies across Finland. The exercises aim to validate the joint wartime capability of persons liable for military service trained for their tasks.

9.4.2025 | The training exercise entity of the Army will start at the end of April to continue until early June in all of Finland. The exercises will strengthen the alliance’s ability for joint operating, build-up of combat power, and its concentration across Finland.

10.2.2025 | The Army will organise the local defence exercises during 18.2.–7.3. this spring. From the Defence Forces, the altogether six local defence exercises will be participated by up to c. 3,000 conscripts, reservists, and service personnel, as well as more than 400 vehicles in total. As is characteristic for local defence exercises, the training audience will also include a significant number of other authorities and business sector stakeholders.

10.1.2024 | The Utti Jaeger Regiment’s international exercise activity in 2024 is to start with a joint exercise conducted with the U.S. Armed Forces. The bilateral exercise will be held in Finland during 15 – 26 January 2024.

16.4.2024 | Army training and exercise activity will be conducted across Finland between the end of April and the beginning of June. The Army will be training in extensive force entities and developing the capacity for bilateral and multilateral joint operations with the Allies.

24.8.2023 | Local defence will be exercised throughout the country during 1.–8. September. Across Finland, the exercises will develop collective security, inter-agency co-operation, and the ability to prepare for disturbance situations. Joint drilling will include, for instance, situations relating to rescue activity and civil protection.

2.5.2026 | Utin jääkärirykmentti harjoittelee vuosisuunnitelman mukaisesti Kymenlaaksossa ja Suomenlahden rannikon maa- ja merialueella 4. - 14. toukokuuta 2026.

20.4.2026 | Utin jääkärirykmentin Helikopteripataljoonan lentomiehistöjen pimeälentokoulutus jatkuu kolmen viikon ajan huhti-toukokuussa, alkaen maanantaina 20. huhtikuuta 2026.

28.5.2026 | Karjalan prikaatin johtama Karelian Sword 26 -harjoitus Kymenlaakson, Etelä-Savon ja Etelä-Karjalan alueella päättyy. Harjoitukseen osallistui yli 10 000 sotilasta.

18.5.2026 | Puolustusvoimat harjoitteli Orimattilan, Iitin, Elimäen, Lapinjärven, Loviisan ja Myrskylän alueilla Lively Sentry 25 harjoituksessa 27.11.-4.12.2025. Maan-, metsän-, ja/tai teidenomistajien tulee ilmoittaa mahdolliset harjoituksen aiheuttamat vauriot tiestöön, maastoon tai puustoon 31.7.2026 mennessä Kaartin jääkärirykmentille

15.12.2025 | Maavoimien komentaja, kenraaliluutnantti Pasi Välimäki luovutti maanantaina 15. joulukuuta Karjalan prikaatin joukko-osastolipun eversti Tomi Pekuriselle, joka aloittaa Karjalan prikaatin komentajana 1. tammikuuta 2026.

18.11.2025 | Utin jääkärirykmentti harjoittelee Kirkkonummella Myllykylän, Masalan, Långvikin ja Kantvikin välisellä alueella keskiviikkona 19. marraskuuta 2025.

14.5.2026 | Maasotakoulun kuorma-auto törmäsi Karjalan prikaatin kuorma-autoon helatorstaina 14.5. noin kello 15.40 valtiellä 15 hieman ennen Myllykoskea.
