The Commandant of the United States Marine Corps, General David H. Berger, will visit the Finnish Navy on 1 June 2023.
During the visit General Berger will also have a working lunch with the Commander of the Finnish Defence Forces, General Timo Kivinen. After the lunch he will learn more about Finnish Navy exercises and the experiences of US troops on working with the Finnish Navy. Other discussion topics of the visit include bilateral cooperation between Finland and the United States, and the security situation of the Baltic Sea Region.
The visit will be hosted by the Commander of the Finnish Navy, Rear Admiral Jori Harju.
