German Navy vessel visits Helsinki and Turku

FGS Main and a submarine at sea

Elbe-class replenishment ship of the German Navy, FGS Main, will arrive in Finland for scheduled port visits.

The first routine call will take place in Helsinki from June 27 to 30, 2025 and the second routine call will take place in Turku from July 4 to 7, 2025.  

During the visits the crew will get an opportunity to spend some free time ashore. The ship will not be open to public.

FGS Main is 100 meters long and 15 meters wide. The vessel is specialized for submarine support and has a crew of around 60.

The visit will be hosted by the Coastal Fleet.
