Two US bombers in the Finnish airspace as part of training activities

Two US B-52 Stratofortress bombers flew in the Finnish airspace on Sunday, 21 July.
The flights were part of training activities. The bombers were supported by two US KC-135 and one US KC-46 aerial refuelling aircraft. The aircraft came from Norway and flew across Lapland towards south.
Air operations are a part of cooperation and joint exercises between the allied countries. Cooperation with the flight detachment improves interoperability between the allies.
The operation was conducted in accordance with the national legislation and regulations of Finland.
