Flag Day parade brings fighter jets to Jyväskylä

Foreign military aircraft will participate in the Flag Day parade flypast in Jyväskylä on 4 June 2023. The flypast will have a weather reservation.

Foreign aircraft based in Finnish air bases during the Arctic Challenge Exercise 23 will take part in the flypast. 

As for the Hornets, the flypast will be carried out by Karelian Air Command. In addition, Air Force transport and utility aircraft and Army helicopters will participate in the flypast.

The flypast will take place around 13:15.

Due to the grounding of the Hawk jet trainers, the Hawks will not participate in the flypast. The Midnight Hawks display flight is also cancelled. The Hawk jet trainers remain grounded until further notice.

The flight altitude will be 1000 ft, approximately 300 metres. The flypast will cause noise in the Jyväskylä region.
