German Navy vessel visits Helsinki

Oste-class Intelligence ship of the German Navy, FGS Oker, will arrive in Helsinki for a scheduled port visit on May 1-5 2025. The vessel will moor at Hernesaari port.

The visit is a routine visit. The vessel operates at the moment in the vicinity of Finland, which is why it comes to Finland for maintenance and replenishment. The ship will not be open to public during the stay.

FGS Oker is 83 meters long and 14 meters wide and it is suited for longer reconnaissance missions. It can house a crew complement of 90.

The visit will be hosted by the Coastal Fleet.
