Japanese Military Attaché on a visit to the Army Academy in Hamina
On 23 September 2021, Japanese Military Attaché, Lieutenant Colonel Shinjiro Suzuki visited the Army Academy in Hamina.
The purpose of the visit involved familiarisation with the Army Academy, Reserve Officer School, and military training, as well as the Army Research Centre, an Army Academy battalion-level unit operating for the most part in Hamina.
Hosted by Commandant of the Army Academy, Colonel Kari Pietiläinen (in the photo on the right), the visit also included Commandant of the Reserve Officer School, Colonel Vesa Helminen (in the photo on the left).
The visit extended to familiarisation with a Reserve Officer School training exercise organised in Valkjärvi as well as the opportunity to discuss with conscript leaders.
