The Utti Jaeger Regiment’s Helicopter Battalion will exercise with the Royal Netherlands Air Force Helicopter Detachment in Finland during 24 January – 9 February 2024.
Arranged in southeastern Finland, the exercise will be participated by two AS532 Cougar medium-weight helicopters from the Netherlands. From the Utti Jager Regiment’s Helicopter Battalion the exercise will be attended by NH90 transport helicopters.
The objective of the exercise is to develop the forces’ interoperable joint operating capacity as well as the capability for operating in demanding winter conditions. Flight activity will be conducted in hours of daylight and in the dark, including landings on terrain sites.
The exercise will be participated at its different phases by altogether up to less than 90 soldiers of the service personnel.
The exercise is part of the decided Finnish Defence Forces’ international training exercise co-operation for 2024.
