Thirty Finnish ambassadors and officials visited the Finnish-Irish Battalion on 25 May 2016 for the annual regional meeting in Lebanon.
During their visit the ambassadors and officials of the Middle-East and North-Africa received a briefing regarding the current situation in Lebanon. They also took part in a regional tour showing the local scenery as well as the battalion post near the Blue Line. The visit was hosted by the Commander of the Finnish-Irish Battalion, Lieutenant Colonel Vesa Vainio.
