Main battles of Exercise Nordic Response 24 begin

Part of the main battles of the military exercise that is part of NATO’s Steadfast Defender 24 series take place in the Hetta and Kivilompolo road area from March 7 to March 9. The battles will have an effect on the traffic in the region.

Inter-agency co-operation in a disturbance situation as the theme of the local defence exercise Kehä 24 in Eastern Uusimaa

The Guard Jaeger Regiment -led local defence exercise Kehä 24, the first one this year, will be held during 3.–8.3.2024 in Eastern Uusimaa. The strength of the training audience will be up to c. 1,000 personnel comprising conscripts, reservists, and service personnel. The exercise will be commanded by Deputy Commander of the Guard Jaeger Regiment, Colonel Vesa Laitonen.

Toward the North - Army Ready to Operate in Arctic Conditions

The Finnish Defence Forces will participate in the Norwegian-led exercise Nordic Response 24 to be held in northern areas of Finland, Norway, and Sweden during 4–15 March 2024. Nordic Response 24 will mark the Army’s and the Finnish Defence Forces’ most substantial participation in a multinational exercise abroad. The strength of the Army training audience will be c. 2,500 personnel of whom 350 are service personnel, 1,060 conscripts, and 1,120 reservists.
