Army to hold an exercise on the defence of Uusimaa in late May
The Guard Jaeger Regiment will lead the Sapeli 1/24 exercise in South Finland on 24–31 May 2024. The exercise will involve ca. 4,900 soldiers and ca. 900 vehicles, which will also include battle tanks and infantry fighting vehicles.
Commander of the Ukrainian Ground Forces visited Finland
Commander of the Ukrainian Ground Forces, Lieutenant General Oleksandr Pavliuk visited Finland on the 22-23 April at the invitation of the Commander of the Finnish Army, Lieutenant General Pasi Välimäki.
Helicopters from the UK to participate in the Utti Jaeger Regiment’s flight activity
The British Army’s helicopter detachment will participate in the flight activity of the Utti Jaeger Regiment’s Helicopter Battalion in an exercise to be held during 29 April – 1 June 2024.
Army to train nearly 20,000 soldiers this spring
Army training and exercise activity will be conducted across Finland between the end of April and the beginning of June. The Army will be training in extensive force entities and developing the capacity for bilateral and multilateral joint operations with the Allies.
