Bilateral training exercise with the Norwegian Armed Forces
The Finnish Army will hold a bilateral training exercise together with the Norwegian Armed Forces in Lapland on 14-24 June 2021. The exercise activity will take place both in Finland and in Norway.
Focusing on operating in small teams, the bilateral training exercise will be organised in the demanding terrain conditions of Lapland, north of the area between Angeli, Inari and Virtaniemi. The exercise activity will take place close to the border between Finland and Norway, on both sides of the state border.
The total strength of the training audience will be circa 20 personnel. The exercise will be attended by circa five personnel from the Finnish Defence Forces.
During the exercise, the safety precautions determined by the authorities relating to the coronavirus will be followed including, among others, maintaining distancing, following general hygiene instructions and using masks.
The exercise is part of bilateral cooperation conducted between Finland and Norway.
