The Commander of the Finnish Defence Forces inspected the exercise Arrow 17
The Commander of the Finnish Defence Forces General Jarmo Lindberg inspected the Finnish Army Mechanized Arrow 17 exercise and its units on Thursday May 4th.
During the morning he the Commander was familiarized to mechnized battle group's simulator assisted live exercise and the field feedback discussion led by the instructors.
- The Army Mechanized exercise has always been very functional and dynamic. Immediate feedback and analytical process of the instant feedback gives very valuable information of the training and makes it very effective said the Commander.
The conditions in Pohjankangas training area are excellent for mechanized troops' fastpaced training, which has been noticed also by the visiting foreign troops. During the inspection the Commander of the Finnish Defence Forces met also the US and the Norwegian troops who take part in the exercise as part of the Finnish battlegroup.
- Common exercises are a concrete way to test and develop interoperability, situational awareness and foremost troops ability to collaborate, the Commander of the Finnish Defence Forces emphasized.
