U.S. Air Force transport aircraft to participate in Utti Jaeger Regiment’s training activity

The U.S. Air Force MC-130J Commando II transport aircraft will participate in the Utti Jaeger Regiment’s training activity during 28 – 31 January 2025.

The MC-130J transport aircraft will participate in the development of Utti Jaeger Regiment’s procedures for interoperable operating capacity in airlift and transport in late January. The special force’s procedures for airlift and transport involve, for instance, airdrops of personnel and materiel by parachute drop.

The MC-130J transport aircraft -assisted parachuting activity will be participated by both the Regiment’s service personnel and parachute-trained paratrooper jaegers conducting conscript service.

Conducted mainly in the area of Kymenlaakso, flight activity may cause noise disturbance.

The MC-130J Commando II transport aircraft are part of the equipment of the U.S. Air Force 352nd Special Operations Wing (352 SOW). Operating in Mildenhall, England, the UK, the 352 SOW is the only special force unit of the U.S. Air Force stationed in Europe.
