U.S. Ospreys will participate in Utti Jaeger Regiment’s flight activity
Two U.S. CV-22B Osprey transport aircraft will participate in Utti Jaeger Regiment’s training and exercise activity during 23 March – 2 April.
The U.S. CV-22B Osprey transport aircraft will participate in Utti Jaeger Regiment’s daily flight and TREX activity in the region of Kymenlaakso and in other areas of Finland during 23 March – 2 April 2023. The objective of the training is to develop operating procedures as well as to improve Finnish helicopter crews’ ability for interoperable operating with international partners.
In accordance with the Helicopter Battalion’s training programme, the activity will include, among others, night flight training and condition drilling in an area from Southern Finland to Lapland. Conducted in daylight and in the dark until no later than 04:00 on a daily basis, the flight activity will involve operating at low altitude and helicopter landings in the terrain.
The flight activity may cause noise disturbance whose impact will be reduced by directing the activity in thinly populated areas and by implementing low noise flight procedures whenever possible.
As applicable, feedback concerning the Utti Jaeger Regiment’s TREX activity can be submitted by email, phone or by utilising the digital feedback form available at: maavoimat.fi/utin-jaakarirykmentti/yhteystiedot.
