7.7.2026 | Finland has acceded to the Multi Role Tanker Transport (MRTT) capability programme. The accession gives Finland access to flight hours with Airbus A330 MRTT multirole aircraft and strengthens Finland’s contribution to the development of NATO’s shared capabilities in aerial refuelling, strategic airlift and medical evacuation.

6.7.2026 | An international naval mines cooperation (NMC) project concerning the common procurement of naval mines has advanced to the framework agreement phase. As a representative of the lead nation, the Finnish Defence Forces Logistics Command has signed a contract in 25.6. with the Finnish company Forcit, on procuring the Blocker Influence Mine for the participating countries. 16.4.2024 | Army training and exercise activity will be conducted across Finland between the end of April and the beginning of June. The Army will be training in extensive force entities and developing the capacity for bilateral and multilateral joint operations with the Allies.

31.5.2024 | The international combat exercise held in Rovajärvi brought together nearly 6,500 soldiers from Finland, the United States, and Norway, as well as staff personnel from Sweden.
