The Finnish-Irish Battalion (FINIRISHBATT) built a retaining wall surrounding the Social Development Center of Bint Jubayl in cooperation with the governments of Finland and Ireland. 14.7.2016 there was an inauguration to honor this event.

14.7.2016 there was an inauguration of a retaining wall surrounding the Social Development Center of Bint Jubayl. The center offers health care and spreads information social, health, psychological and educational issues to those in need. This Quick Impact Project (QIP) contributes to the healthcare infrastructure and enhances the facilities which are essential to the Social Development Center.

The Finnish-Irish Battalion (FINIRISHBATT) was in liaison with the governments of Finland and Ireland in order to execute this project in our area on operation. The medical awareness training which is held in the centre has developed especially the relations between the local and Finnish and Irish women. Assisting the local population is one of the tasks of the FINIRISHBATT. The Finnish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the IRISH Defence Forces provided the funding for this project.
