21.5.2026 | The Commander of the Finnish Army, Lieutenant General Pasi Välimäki met the Commander of the French Land Forces, Lieutenant General Philippe de Montenon in Helsinki on 18 May 2026.

28.3.2026 | Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General Pasi Välimäki was on a working visit to Ukraine last week. The visit focused on the areas of Kiev, Dnipro, and Zaporizhzhia. During the visit, Lieutenant General Välimäki met leadership of the Ukrainian Army, and took note of the operating of the land forces as well as command echelons of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and new capabilities. Additionally, the visit provided the opportunity to familiarise with defence industry in Ukraine.

2.3.2026 | The Commander of the Finnish Army met the Chief of the German Army, and familiarised with the operating of the Jaeger Battalion 91 in Rotenburg during his visit. 29.6.2026 | The Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General Pasi Välimäki attended the RUSI Land Warfare Conference 2026 (LWC) held in London, and visited the Headquarters of the Allied Rapid Reaction Corps (ARRC) in Gloucester. Additionally, the Commander also attended the Eastern Flank Deterrence Initiative (EFDI) -symposium held in Stockholm, as well as the Change of Command Ceremony of the Chief of the Swedish Army.
