17.4.2026 | The Commander of the Finnish Army and Multi-Corps Land Component Command Northwest (MCLCC-NW), Lieutenant General Pasi Välimäki hosted a working meeting held by the Allied Land Command (LANDCOM) of NATO at Mikkeli during 15.-16.4.2026.

12.2.2026 | The Army will exercise local defence during 20.2.–6.3.2026. The series of exercises will be participated by altogether up to c. 3,500 soldiers, a number of other authorities, as well as business sector organisations from across Finland.

15 Aug. - 15 Dec. 2025, call-ups in accordance with the Conscription Act will be organized by the Defence Forces regional offices. This year, male citizens born in 2007 will be summoned to call-ups.

22.9.2025 | Deputy Commander of NATO Joint Force Command Norfolk, Vice Admiral James Morley, and Chief of the Norwegian Army, Major General Lars Lervik visited Finland during 15—17 September 2025. 2.10.2025 | On 16 September 2025, Command Senior Enlisted Leaders (CSEL) of NATO member nations’ land forces familiarised with conscript training of the Army at the Jaeger Brigade during the NATO Land Command conference (LC3).

10.4.2025 | The Armoured Brigade will lead the Army mechanized exercise Mighty Arrow 25 at the Pohjankangas Firing Range and Training Area in Niinisalo from 24 April to 13 May. Approximately 2800 persons will take part in the exercise, most of them conscripts and about 700 international troops.

22.2.2024 | The Finnish Defence Forces will participate in the Norwegian-led exercise Nordic Response 24 to be held in northern areas of Finland, Norway, and Sweden during 4–15 March 2024. Nordic Response 24 will mark the Army’s and the Finnish Defence Forces’ most substantial participation in a multinational exercise abroad. The strength of the Army training audience will be c. 2,500 personnel of whom 350 are service personnel, 1,060 conscripts, and 1,120 reservists.
